Livelihood came together in the summer of 2012 after Quon and MOEtivation realized how great their chemistry was from their past collaborations on songs and performances. Before becoming a duo, both were artists represented by the now defunct street label, D.O.P.E. Music.
Since becoming a group, Livelihood opened for Joe Moses and Kxng Crooked and competed in, and won Sean Healey’s “Battle For Beats” show in February 2014, with celebrity judges DJ Mustard and Steve Lobel. Following the show and competition, they released their first mixtape, Modest Beginnings and numerous singles throughout the years. In 2015 they released their merchandise line which includes shirts, hoodies, and hats.
Most recently, Livelihood dropped their 4Eva Live EP and has been hosting their own shows at venues throughout Los Angeles and performed at SXSW on March 14th, 2019 as part of the Beers and Tacos lineup hosted by DJ Holiday.
Livelihood plans to release their debut album: “The Relatables” later this year.
